Section 7: Submission Requirements
Requirements for Graduation
To meet baccalaureate degree requirements, students must complete a minimum of 124 semester hours and earn an overall grade point average of 2.00 in the major and on all work completed (some majors require a higher GPA and/or specific GPA for the curriculum).
The valedictorian shall be selected from those students who have: (1) completed all baccalaureate degree requirements, (2) earned a minimum of 124 hours at Waynesburg, and (3) the highest grade point average. Courses graded “TR” are not considered as earned credits for the purpose of selecting a valedictorian.
Although academic advisors and the Office of the Registrar assist students in course selection and registration, it is the responsibility of each student to see that he/she fulfills all degree requirements.
By Selecting to Submit this graduation application, it is understood that a degree will only be conferred once all degree requirements have been successfully completed as indicated in the university catalog. Submission of this online graduation application does not confirm degree or commencement eligibility. A review of the student's academic plan will be processed and the student will be contacted to have an in-person evaluation for confirmation of degree requirements.
