Official Rules and Guidelines
OVERVIEW:
This academic year did you serve on campus or through a WU service-learning project domestically or internationally? Showcase your work related to the WU community and win cash for your service site.
DETAILS:
Wednesday, April 12th from 5pm-7pm in Benedum Dining Hall
Deadline for Application: Wednesday, April 5th by 11:59pm through this machform
AWARDS:
• Top four service sites will receive a $500 award
• Awards must be given directly to the service site. The eHIVE will work with service sites to collect W-9 forms for each winning site and distribute awards.
VOTING:
• Winners will be selected exclusively through audience voting, which will begin at 5pm and end at 6:15pm on April 12th. Winners will be announced at 6:30pm.
REGISTRATION:
To register, submit this application by April 5th at 11:59pm. This form requires a signed permission from the service site supervisor and a QR Code for Venmo, so please be sure to review the application ahead of time.
PRESENTATION
Each site will receive one 6ft table to present their visual display. Tables should showcase each service site and include visual elements. Your presentation should address the following questions:
- What service are you providing?
- What problem are you trying to solve through your service?
- How does your service connect to your educational experiences at WU?
- How can others get involved?
- What would the service site put the $500 towards?
Be prepared to interact with audience members about your service as they vote. At least one person must be always present at the table.
